Travertine is natural limestone, that works perfectly for pool decks. Each individual paving stone is unique, and the stone itself is much easier to maintain and upkeep than some other natural stones. One of the things that our customers love most about travertine pavers and their pool decks is the warmth and depth of the color and tones in the travertine. The stone creates a luxurious custom look and is a great choice for Arizona pool decks.
The pavers used for this project are scabos three piece travertine. Scabos travertine tile has a special pattern called Versailles, with a brushed finish. The tones in the stone could be described as warm and the pattern creates a beautiful look while the stone is really functional, a great combination.
Our team have a great deal of experience installing travertine pool decks and this was a great project to work on. The home is located in Scottsdale, Arizona. The pool and pool deck area are the center of this gorgeous desert back yard and travertine was the perfect choice to compliment the warm orange and red tones of the southwest adobe style architecture of the home. The pavers are a combination of deep red hues and more neutral light greys. The pool itself includes a waterfall rock feature and a hot tub. With deep blue tiling, the red in the travertine shines even more.
The pool deck area has multiple spaces for family and friends to get together and enjoy the beautiful pool, pool deck, and views of the desert.
Travertine is straightforward for maintenance. All it takes is some regular sweeping to remove any debris, and then cleaning with natural stone cleaner every so often. The pavers don’t need to be sealed, and are naturally porous creating slip resistance.
